Summer ride

Just a couple of pics of my improved cross-check...

stripped off the old winter tractor wheels and the shit catchers for something more racey... and added some on-one midges, which coincidentally rock.

i was gonna turn this bike into somekind of geared up tourer, but a week of riding in clement weather has turned me around, singlespeed is top, even if my legs do knack.

Nice ride. I was looking at the Midges as a change from the Nitto moustache bars I'm running now. Want something that can get me a bit lower while still being wide enough that I can reef hard on the bars for climbs without things getting squirrely The Midges look like they might fit the bill nicely.

My fixed CC is out of commision right now; either the cog or the chainring is worn enough that a power-mash makes the chain skip right over the teeth...weird.

Like your blog...rant on.

thanks! it's went through some changes since then... you know how it is, constantly messin... i have to confess that one of them was changing the on-ones... they are top! but a little too wide for london traffic. that said, i reckon they might go back on for the winter when the comfort is going to outweigh everything else.

nittos? nice, been looking at them myself. where did you get 'em?

shame about the CC. good luck with it.

thanks for the compliments, and don't worry, i've got plenty rant in me...
